Sailboat
Daniela |
|---|
A small sailboat was built by my Italian
teacher, Daniela, following my verbal instructions (many of them
consisting of No, no, no. Non così.). I designed the boat on the fly, so it is not that complicated a construction. |
Representatives for Bregnerod-trafikken (Bregnerod Transit Authority) have been in Holland to look at possible solutions to local traffic problems. At Brakzand they inspected this small ferry which functions as a part of the main road to Brakzand.

Last Thursday (March 2nd 2000)
I had a visit from a photographer that works for a Danish newspaper. They
needed some kind of illustration for an interview about LEGO, and I had
invited her to visit my laboratory at ÉNS, where I keep my petite French LEGO collection (6452 and 6580).
She wanted some pictures of me building a model, so I took the models I had built from 6580 apart and started working on this catamaran. The interesting thing with the model is the sail which is made up of two 30119 wing pieces.
We talk LEGO boats on Lugnet where I also posted a short message about the model.

The page presenting the boat contains drawn building instructions that hopefulle correspond to what I told Daniela.

The weekend August 16th and 17th Tobias and I (and
Katrine, Rasmus and Jesper) had all my LEGO out. When I had to clean up the
mess Sunday evening the LEGO was spread over four rooms and I used most of
four hours to collect and sort the loose pieces. The sailing ship
Luna
is one of the models we built that weekend.
Lunaisn't in the water yet. It will be launched in a moment.
Lunawas launched from the ship yard.
Lunais a one-master with a single helper engine. It measures 46 (mini-fig) feet.
Lunawas a success. The ship is currently sponsored by British Airways.
Lunadoesn't look very lady-like in chain-mail.
Creation date: August 16th and 17th 1997.

Katrine did
not feel like waiting for Tobias and I to finnish
Luna
so she built this raft.
Creation date: August 16th 1997.
This is the original design for a launch for
Luna
. I have for a change put the bricks
sideways. The model was inspired by a LEGO exhibition in Lyngby the summer
of 1997.
A small fishing vessel built in the same style as the rowing boat above.
Just a small pirate ship Caroline built a long time ago.
There is a discussion group dedicated to LEGO boats on Lugnet.
You are of cause also welcome to write me if you have some comments or suggestions regarding my models (or this website).
